The Road of Japan
http://www.cfa.hokudai.ac.jp/PFC/members/matsunami/Japan.html
ASTONISHING amount of information on routes all over Japan (on very LONG
pages) - if only it were in English for the non-Japanese readers! Roads
rated with stars given for scenic beauty, narrowness, winding turns and
"UHEUEHE" (steepness?) of passes, plus comments and email address
for info. Also offers a mailing list.
Net-Pedalian / Japan Adventure Cyclist Club's official web site
http://www.os.rim.or.jp/~jacc/
Also listed under English web sites. OUTSTANDING, jaw-dropping design, several
planes above anything else I've seen on a cycle-site... but not always intuitive
to the uninitiated. Clicking the "W" on the compass allows access
to three sections:
Tandem Around the World, a description of same;
Voices of Adventure Cyclists, mostly by Japanese cyclists in Japanese
but with names and summaries in English and excellent photos from all over
the world; and
Club@EMISTEVE, with a "Message Board" containing periodic
updates of their trip around the world.
Clicking the "E" on the compass sends you to the Japan Cycling
Navigator site. Other locations are mostly in Japanese, but you'll probably
enjoy exploring them anyway.
JCA (Japan Cycling Association)
http://www4.justnet.ne.jp/~jca/index.htm
Japanese only. Lots of info on the JCA, joining, etc., as well as lists
of cycling terminals and so on. "Course info" is disappointing,
with little more than "cycle sports center" paths, but it does
offer the "WIND" diagrams of long-distance bikepaths.

Mountain Links
http://www.dent.niigata-u.ac.jp/restend/okamoto/links.html
This site is specifically devoted to mountains (appears to be mainly scenery
and hiking), but it may be the most complete collection of mountain links
around; the "Link-shu 1-5" items near the bottom of the first
page lead to several more pages of links. The first page is noteworthy mainly
for the links on mountain lodges/huts ("yamagoya") near the bottom
of the page... (also several live-cams of Mt. Fuji, Daisetsuzan in Hokkaido,
etc.).

Ritsumeikan University Cycling Club
http://www.jotu.cs.ritsumei.ac.jp/~nakai/_Japanese/_Rucc/index.html

cycling sites...

http://www.na.rim.or.jp/~watanabk/kotaro.html
Home page of Kotaro (Watanabe?), who seems to be a Nagoya-based cyclist.

Cycling Courses
http://www.net117.or.jp/~tosio/cyclo/corse1.htm
List of cycling routes all over Japan - quite extensive. All in Japanese,

a mailing list for cyclists; click the Home button to access it on the "Home"
page.

(and the bottom left box in that page has links to a few photos).
"Percipio"
http://ns.mcgroup.or.jp/user/takekazu/index.htm
