Cape Muroto could probably be summed up as Shikoku's "other" cape; rugged Cape Ashizuri in the southwest gets most of the publicity. But Muroto is nice, too, with walking paths (which I promptly turned into "cycling paths") that allow you to take your time in the more scenic sections. I dawdled here for an hour or so, taking photos, before heading west.

Some of the prettiest views come soon after you round the cape; rocky little coves like this one.
