Can’t cycle all the way up to an onsen area without actually going in. This is one of the main places to enjoy the baths - it was in a large hotel so it was not cheap, but it had a spectacular outdoor bath (rotenburo). This is the view of the bath...

... and this is the view from the railing in the photo above. It was lucky that I had so little distance to cover that day: I stayed here longer than I should have ordinarily.
